"When my mother passed away there was a lot of work to be done to settle the estate. Her largest holding was the co-op apartment she owned. Ed and I had worked together many years ago and had remained in touch. I was looking for someone who was going to be helpful, knowledgeable, and considerate to work with on the preparation and sale of the apartment. My choice was Ed.
He drew on his and his firm’s resources to help me find contractors to paint and repair the apartment...[he advised] me on what we needed to fix or clean vs. what was optional. He was always willing to take the time to deal with anything that came up. This was key to raising the apartment condition before we went to market. Of course the most important job your real estate agent has is trying to figure out what the value of the property might be, when to put it on the market, and how [to] price the property. Ed was excellent at guiding me through this part of the process.
Ed was creative and diligent when it came to marketing the apartment. The choice of virtual staging of photos was especially helpful for potential buyers to see what the apartment could be. In the end we had a lot of interest and bids. Ed was very active showing the apartment and keeping people in the loop about the activity. One of the trickiest issues was choosing which bid to enter into contract with and Ed's advice was very helpful. He advised us to take an offer from a buyer that did not maximize his commission but did seem like the most secure way to secure the sale with less risk…The sale went through very smoothly and Ed's work was one of the reasons for this. He was a great partner in this endeavor." - DE - Producer
"This was my first experience working with a broker, and Ed walked me through every step with patience and humor. He dealt with the ins and outs of a 150-page Board application, and his attention to detail helped us sail smoothly through the process. If you need someone to hold your hand, or just find you great places to look at...you can't go wrong with Ed!" - MP - Senior Producer, NBC
"Ed was my smart, wonderful, creative boss in the 1980s so, when we were considering buying a co-op in NYC I knew right away that I would be able to trust him, that he would be fun to shop with, and that he would be fully committed to helping us get a great property. I was right - Ed was great. He was always prepared with lots of properties to look at, always within our price range, in the neighborhood, we wanted, and with the character, we were looking for. He guided me as to what to look for, and counseled me in how to interact with other agents. He was on time, professional, and good company. Most importantly, he walked us through the very complicated process of putting together the financial package and made sure that our submission was thorough, accurate, and professionally assembled. In fact, the co-op board told us during our interview that our package was the most organized and easiest to process package they had ever encountered. I fully recommend Ed. If you are apartment hunting, you can't find anyone better to work with. A+++" - EE - Boutique Owner
“I first met Ed years ago at NBC, where he was an accomplished television marketing executive and creative writer/producer. When Ed transitioned to working in real estate, I knew he would apply the same professional approach and attention to detail that enabled his long and successful career in television. When my wife and I decided to find a new home in Manhattan, I immediately thought Ed was the right man to help us. Ed really understood our requirements and was very disciplined about showing us apartments that met our specific needs and budget. The search lasted about a year, during which time Ed showed us a number of fine homes. He ultimately found us an exceptional place with a spectacular terrace that we now own. Ed was extremely helpful throughout the negotiation and purchasing process. Buying a new home in NYC can be challenging but thanks to Ed’s professionalism, patience, and perseverance, the entire experience was very pleasant, straightforward, and manageable. I am happy to recommend Ed to help you buy or sell a NYC home.” – FR – Television Executive and Producer
